Conductor Theodoros Kameris reached the semifinals of the prestigious International Competition for Young Conductors in Besançon. He is the founder and conductor of Musica Vivere String Orchestra, based in Tallinn and bringing together talented young musicians from different countries. The orchestra combines educational projects with high-level classical performances and recently performed at Helsinki Cathedral.
In September 2026, Kameris will record an album with the Greek Radio National Symphony Orchestra (ERT).
Theodoros has participated in masterclasses with conductors such as Michalis Economou, Tomáš Netopil, Martin Sieghart, and Olari Elts, among others. He initially studied choral conducting at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory before continuing his studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he graduated in 2023. He subsequently pursued Master’s studies in orchestral conducting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating in 2026 from the class of Prof. Arvo Volmer. He further enriched his education at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden, studying in the class of Prof. Georg Christoph Sandmann.
He has conducted ensembles including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Victor Hugo, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne, Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue, West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, and Filarmonica Pitești, among others.
